Air bridge safety brake

Air bridge safety brake is use to prevent aerobridge from falling down and protect passengers from injuries.

Technical characteristics:

In case of drive chain break or electro motor brake failure, air bridge, under gravity, starts to falling down. Angular velocity of the main thread shaft increasing rapidly and weights (part 2), which can rotate around the axis, under centrifugal load starts to move until they reach brake disk (part 1) and block further movement. Air bridge remains locked in that position until driving electro motor starts to pushing up and then weights upon the spring force moving back to start positions.

• Shaft pitch h = 8 - 20mm
• Normal shaft angular velocity n0 = 35-75 o/min
• Braking shaft angular velocity n1 = 138 o/min
• Maximum decline high in case of drive chain break h = 1mm
• Maximum decline high in case of electro motor brake failure h = 150mm
